Sophia Belle is a Somerville-born singer-songwriter who listened to Dookie in the womb but eventually moved on to better things. Her music is inspired by lonely hitchhiking journeys around the world, long winters in the White Mountains, gentrification in her homecity, and all of the internal dialogue that fills in the rest of the cracks.
Keith Cooper is a songwriter living in Somerville, MA. Longtime host of Bloc 11 Café’s open mic in Somerville’s Union Square neighborhood, he has been a visible presence in the Boston music community over the last 6 years. His most recent release was You Didn’t Know Me (2015), a full length indie rock record. He is currently finishing up his next full length record Rabid Underdogs, to be released in Spring 2018.
Mariam Dahbi has been singing for as long as she can remember. Learning songs in English has been her lifelong favorite activity: a window into music and art, but also into a foreign language she has always been fascinated by. Born and raised in Rabat, Morocco, Mariam is now a graduate student at Harvard where she is pursuing a PhD in Education. In addition to singing other artists’ songs, Mariam’s life journey over the past few years prompted her to write her own songs, capturing some of the feelings and experiences she’s been navigating. She finds solace in her music, and hopes you will too.
