Space Between, Julia Mark, Three at Home

Doors 7:30 PM, Music begins at 8:00 PM.

Space Between is a rock (and roll) band from Boston. Drawing on influences from the blues, the British Invasion, and present-day stylings, the Space Between falls into the gap of what came before and what has yet to come.

Julia Mark grew up in semi-rural New Jersey listening to bebop greats and folk music legends. After several years of classical piano lessons, she began writing her own music as a student of the late jazz pianist, Eric Doney. Julia went on to major in music and psychology at Wesleyan University and has been performing as a singer/songwriter since 2013. Julia is currently based in Boston, MA.

Dann and Mary have been writing and playing music for over ten years each and last year decided to combine their forces. Their harmony-driven pop-rock-folk incorporates intelligent and honest lyrics, chord progressions both familiar and new, and a pervasive energy and fun that is infectious in their live performances.

Passim Member Concert: Ian Foster

Newfoundland native Ian Foster comes from a place of stories, and he knows how to tell them. He’s a road worn troubadour who has been described as having a keen poetic sense and a searcher’s infinite wisdom in his writing, and yet can make you laugh between songs. He writes in a modern folk style and exudes a love of storytelling. CBC’s Bob Mersereau described him as being “a fine example of what a 21st century folk performer should be doing.”

Often likened to Canadian songwriting icon Bruce Cockburn in both writing and guitar style, Ian’s music has been described as thoughtful, introspective, cinematic, hopeful, atmospheric, and cathartic by critics and fans alike. He has numerous awards, nominations and co-writes to his credit, including SOCAN Songwriter of the year nominations, Lyric finalist for the International Songwriting Competition (Nashville, TN), and a co-write with Canadian songwriting legend Ron Hynes.

This concert is part of the Passim Member Concert Series. Passim member concerts are an exclusive member benefit and are free for members and their guests. To learn more about Passim or become a member click here.
